The guys who made the Field Engineering Program "happen" in the early days in Building were Joe Markey and Bob Hody. Hody gave way to Bill May a few years later. When the Field Engineering Development Center (FEDC) was constructed, Joe Carr was named to manage the facility in support of Markey and May. Joe also was in charge of the "non-technical" training that was done at the Center, including such courses as Effective Presentation, Cardio-puliminary Resusitation (CPR) and others. Thanks to this trio, the programs survived and thrived in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
