Don't Give Dead Horses C.P.R.!

Remember the old expression: "Don't beat a dead horse?"

Well, Al Shuman, a training specialist in those days, liked to quote an old expression we had at the FEDC a new build manager, Don Lawrence, came around 1980. He changed the building hours for the training groups to 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, which pissed off many people. You may recall we used to start at 7:30 am and run to 4:30 pm, as an agreement with the town of Niskayuna. It was a traffic flow problem on Balltown Road.

Anyway, Lawrence was quoted as saying "it is a dead issue!" Back then we gave safety training that included Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation. Hence, Shuman's favorite quote: "Don't give horses CPR!"
