Field Engineers have worked on gas and steam turbine installations and maintenance all over the world. This is a list of counties "known" to have The General's turbines, where engineers have worked in power generation, gas production and process plants. If you have worked (or known of guys who have worked) in other counties, please add them below. We will update this list as countries are added. AT LAST COUNT, 55 COUNTRIES! Last revised July 20, 2008

North America: Canada, United States of America

Central America: Guatelmala, Mexico, Panama

South America: Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, Surinam, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Chile

Caribbean: Jamaica, Trinidad, Puerto Rico, Aruba, Curacao, Bahamas, Dominican Republic

Europe: Holland, Italy, France, Spain, Hungary, England, Portugal, Norway, Canary Islands

Asia: Vietnam, Singapore, Brunei, Japan, Thailand, China, India, Soviet Union (Russia), Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Pakistan

Middle East: Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Seria, Bahrein, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Qatar, United Arab Emerates.

Africa: Libya, Senegal

You left out the three I made it to. Korea, Egypt and Tiwan. the service sup was Lou Riano, service manager (drawing a blank now, but a great guy)

Countries not yet noted where many of us worked for GETSCO:
Norway, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Libya, United Arab Emirates, Qatar

Oh and "Wales" is not a country!

Add Phillippines, Guam, Kwajalean, and Diego Garcia to the list. Adak Alaska, almost the farthest west Aluetian Island (not a foreign country but definitely foreign).

I have worked in Costa Rica and St. Croix USVI. I know people that have worked in Algeria and Nigeria.

How about the Reksten, built in Norway, but could travel the world. I was aboard for 36 hours. My shortest job for GETSCO, and off of Boston Harbor.

An interesting list. I have worked on Fr5's in Burma, now called Myanmar.
